Cape Town Tigers is a South African professional basketball club run by Severus group, a brain child of American businessman Raphael Alexander Edwards. His co-Founding partners are William McFarlan, Chante Butler, Dia Martin and Ibrahim Sagna. The organization channels its effort at changing the basketball culture on Africa and believes in using the sport to bring positive change to the continent by introducing basketball expertise, business acumen and promoting philanthropy aligning with BAL’s goal for the continent.

The team is coached by Relton Booysen and assistant coach Vincent Ntunja who joined the organization in 2022. In 2021, the club won the South African National Championship in its debut season.
